All Locust balls are PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic free. This is to protect both the environment and the eyes of the player.
Valve Airlock System
A patented double-protected valve that resists wear and tear from needles and makes leakage of air almost impossible.
All Locust balls have a premium balanced carbon latex bladder (Elastic Natural Rubber) to reduce the possibility of head injury when a ball hits a players head. The advantage of a Latex ball is that the energy stays within the ball. This is in contrast to a butyl ball, where the additional energy is transferred to any object the ball strikes.
Flight Control Technology
An accurate weight balance at all angles of the ball is achieved by the correct combination of ball materials, a patented 8-wing Latex bladder design and valve, ensuring an even and balanced flight of the ball in the air.
A ball carrying a FIFA Approved stamp has been tested by FIFA and meets or exceeds strict set standards in 7 different testing categories.
Finger Block Technology
The standard in keeper protective technology. Each finger is protected by a moulding, allowing forward motion for an excellent grip on the ball while preventing backward motion to protect a keeper's fingers.
Grip Control Technology
The Locust ‘Grip Control’ is embedded in the surface of the latex foam. The finest grip materials are developed in Germany. The ultimate grip on a surface of the palm is the key to take immediate control of a ball in flight. Also, the Locust fingers and thumbs are designed to control any possible spin on a ball.
Impact Control Technology
The Locust ‘Impact Control’ is recent developed German latex foam. The foam is used on the palm and/or backhand. The technology was founded by NASA. The impact of a ball is distributed over the surface of the glove and adsorbed in the Latex foam for a non-slip hold.
Wet Control Technology
The Locust 'Wet Control' is embedded in the surface of the latex foam. The finest grip materials developed in Germany. The ultimate grip on a surface of the palm is the key to take immediate control of a ball in flight. Also, the Locust grip prevents water been retained in the glove preventing slipping during catching.
